Eloi Rossier

After studies in literature and a licentiate from the University of Fribourg, Eloi Rossier taught at the Maya-Joie school in la Fouly, of which he was principal from 1990 to 2012. With a diploma in Sports Management from the IDEHAP and Swiss Olympic, he was President of Ski Valais and member of the board of Swiss Ski. He also chaired the Raiffeisen branch in Bagnes-Vollèges. Bagnes. The population elected him President of the Bagnes Commune in October 2012. Born in 1953, he is married with three children, and lives in le Châble.

Pascal BoveyPascal Bovey, civil engineer EPFL, is head of the Transportation Service with the Department of Transportation, Equipment and the Environment (DTEE). Previously, after various activities in the field of public transport with SBB and the Vaud cantonal administration, he was Head of Division within the Department of Roads of the Canton of Vaud. He also has extensive experience in the fields of business, project and HR management. With French as a mother tongue, he also speaks German, Spanish and English.

Michael ThemansDr. Michaël Thémans is a lecturer at EPFL, Deputy Director of EPFL’s Transportation Center (TraCE, a group of 40 research labs) and member of EPFL’s Vice-Presidency for Innovation and Technology Transfer. He holds a Ph.D. in Operations Research and Transportation Modeling, and has extensive experience in market analysis and consumer behaviour modeling. He consults for various public agencies, private companies and EPFL startups, and is partner and Chief Business Development Officer at “6T – Bureau de Recherche”, an EPFL’s spin-off specialized in mobility analysis.

Prof. Giuseppe Pini

Director, Observatory for Mobility

Giuseppe PiniGiuseppe Pini is Honorary Professor at the Institute of Geography and Sustainability at the University of Lausanne, where he teaches geography of transportation. He created 20 years ago the Observatory for Mobility (OUM) of the University of Geneva. His main research areas are mobility and transport, links between transport and spatial planning, mobility behavior and promotion of sustainable mobility.

Fabienne Herlaut

Fabienne HerlautFabienne Herlaut in 2011 founded Ecomobilité Ventures, a €25 million multi-corporate (SNCF, Orange, Total) venture fund dedicated to sustainable mobility, and was its managing partner until June 2014. Prior to founding EMV, she led Corporate Strategy and Sustainable Development divisions at SNCF and Pechiney, as well as Business Development at ArcelorMittal’s Flat Carbon Division; and was COO and portfolio manager (M&A) at Harwanne, a Paris-Geneva family office. She graduated from Ecole Superieure de Commerce de Paris (1980) and holds a Master’s degree from Harvard Business School (1984).
